Wilson Newton BRYENTON, husband of the late Helen Loggie (BREMNER) BRYENTON of Route 108 Bryenton, NB, passed away Tuesday March 15, 2022 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 98. Born in Bryenton, NB, he was the son of the late Everett and Agnes (McALLISTER) BRYENTON. He was the youngest Post Master in Canada, he was a retired store owner, member of the Derby Church and a church elder, he was a member of Northumberland Lodge # 17 F & AM, member of Miramichi Shrine Club, a veteran of Air Force Canada. He also had a love for his family and his community.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather BRYENTON CRIPPS (Ken) of Fredericton; his son, Robert Newton BRYENTON (Shantelle) of Calgary; his sisters, Velma WILSON (Charles) of Sunny Corner and Hilda RUSHBROOK of Fredericton; and his three grandchildren, Rebecca and Benjamin CRIPPS and Wilson BRYENTON.
Besides his parents, and his wife he was predeceased by his two brothers Earl and Edward Bryenton.
Wilson Newton Bryenton is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Sunday March 20 from 1pm to 4 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Monday March 21st, at 2 pm at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of Derby United Church Cemetery in the spring. Donations to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke, Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
