Mrs. Laura Margaret CRAIK, widow of Hubert CRAIK, of 5580 Route 108, Derby Junction, passed away Tuesday at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Exmoor, NB, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Laura [OLDFIELD] MURPHY. She was a former member of Derby Seniors Citizens Club, and a member of Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Church, Millerton.<br /> She is survived by two daughters: Joan [Sterling] JOHNSTON, of Miramichi; Theresa [David] MacKENZIE, of Derby Jct.; three sons; Joseph [Joan], of Langley, BC; Gordon [Olivia], of Kamloops, BC; Clarence [Phillis], of Miramichi; one brother, William MURPHY, of Oxnard, California.<br /> Predeceased by her parents; husband; and one son, Kennedy; one daughter, Sandra FJELL; three sisters: Bernette MULLIN, Theresa DOYLE, Mary MULLIN; 5 brothers; Jack, Kenneth, Henry, Paul, and Osborne.<br /> The remains rested at Davidsons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, June 4, at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Church, Millerton, NB, with Father Joseph Woods officiating. Soloist was Charlie HACHEY.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Paul MURPHY, Peter MURPHY, Brian BELLIVEAU, Al BELLIVEAU, David HOGAN, and Greg DONOVAN. Honorary pallbearers were: Kevin MURPHY, Jack MURPHY, Laureena BEACH, Bob MULLIN, Allan CARTER, Ruth FLETT, and Rita DONOVAN. <br /> Burial followed in the church cemetery.
