The death of Samuel TURBIDE, elderly resident of Eel River Bridge, occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edmour THERIAULT recently following a lengthy illness. Mr. TURBIDE was 78 years of age.<br /> <br /> He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. THERIAULT of Eel River, with whom he resided and Mrs. Edward GALLANT of Leominster, Mass.<br /> <br /> The largely attended funeral was held to the Catholic Church, Baie Ste. Anne, where Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Albert.<br /> <br /> The pallbearers were: Norbert THERIAULT, grandson, Anthony TURBIDE, Herman MARTIN, Norman SCHOFIELD, nephews, Henry SCHOFIELD , brother-in-law and Damase ARSENAULT.<br /> <br /> Interment was in the family lot in the adjoining cemetery.<br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - January 05, 1944
