Abigail Annie (DUNNETT) HOLMES, born June 20, 1939 in Sillikers, NB, daughter of the late John and Martha (BLACKMORE) DUNNETT, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Abby was a teacher and homemaker and a member of Boom Road Pentecostal Church. She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother and grandmother whose warmth and prayers extended to family and friends; with one niece commenting that Aunt Abby was her Prayer Warrior.<br /> <br /> Abigail is survived by her daughters, Leanne (Aloyisus MULLIN) of Trout Brook, and June (Lloyd CARTER) of Cassillis; her son, Robert of Halcomb; grandchildren, Kyle MULLIN (Lin Lin Wu) of Beijing and Morgan MULLIN (Oliver CROOK) of Halifax; great-granddaughter, Grace MULLIN of Beijing; sister, Marina of Losier Hall; and several nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee HOLMES; her sister, Emma GRAY; her brothers: Isaac, James, Eugene, Jarvis, Edgar, Elliot and George.<br /> <br /> A gathering will be held for celebration and mourning when we can safely come together. Donations in Abby's memory may be made to the Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home.
