The death of Mr. Wilson Ernest FLIEGER of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 62. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and Nettie (DICKSON) FLIEGER. He was a member of the United Church and worked for the City of Miramichi- Public Works Department. He was a former member of the Douglastown Lions Club.<br /> <br /> Wilson is survived by: two daughters, Heather of Miramichi, NB and Holly FLORES (Jason) of Fredericton, NB; one son, Michael (Melissa) of Raymond, AB; three sisters, Thelma CORNEY (John), Isabel PLEADWELL (Ivan) and Libby FLIEGER all of Miramichi, NB; one brother, Kenny (Lolly) of Bryenton, NB; former wife, Kathy (HAYES) FLIEGER of Miramichi, NB; and several nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> At Wilson’s request there was no visitation. A public Funeral Service was held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Special music was by son-in-law, Jason FLORES. Words of Remembrance by Mike GUITAR and the readings by Sylvia DONNELLY and Colleen BARRY. <br /> <br /> Honorary pallbearers were: John CORNEY, John FORAN, Grant DONNELLY, Danny DONAHUE, Bud TAYLOR and Omer LHUILLIER. <br /> <br /> Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery later in the spring. Donations may be made to the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB.
