Mrs. Jean [ROSS] ANDERSON, RN, widow of Wallace P. ANDERSON, peacefully passed away on August 14, 2005, at the Kenneth Spencer Memorial Nursing Home, in Moncton, NB. Born in Oak Point, NB, she was the daughter of the late Colin C. and Laura [MacKNIGHT] ROSS. Wally and Jean lived their family life in Newcastle and enjoyed their retirement in Burnt Church, NB. Jean enjoyed her many years of service in the operating room at Miramichi Hospital and was a member of the Retired Registered Nurses Association as well as the Miramichi Hospital Nurses Alumni.<br /> Jean is survived by her children: Alan L. [Simone], of Moncton, NB, and Heather [Grant] WOOD, of Harrisonburg, Virginia; grandson, Matthew WOOD, of Virginia; and granddaughters: France THERIAULT and Sylvie THERIAULT, of Moncton; as well as many nieces and nephews; sisters: Rena [Neil] SAVOY, of Burnt Church, and Catherine [Doug] ZORN, of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.<br /> She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wallace, in 2001; one brother, Oakley; and one sister, Marion.<br /> Visitation at Davidsons Funeral Home, on Tuesday, August 16, and the funeral service was held Wednesday, August 17, at 2 pm from the FH Chapel, with Rev. Ron Feltmate officiating. Congregational hymns were: Safe In The Arms of Jesus, In the Garden and Nearer My God To Thee. Solo by Borden B. Davidson was: Farther Along.<br /> Donations may be made to Miramichi Hospital Foundation.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Kenny MacWILLIAM, Robert MASON, Lars ALMEN, Jan VANT VELD, Rolf OHLSSON, Mike ARSENAULT. Honorary pallbearers were: Dot BRENNAN, Marion MacKAY, Ruth CHAPMAN, Isabel DELANO, Dorothy HARPER, and Shirley GIROUARD.<br /> Arrangements were in care of Davidsons Funeral Home [622-7464] <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - August 23, 2005
