The death of Myrtle ASTLES, wife of Chester G. ALEXANDER of Blissfield, occurred at her home, Friday, after three months illness in her fifty-seventh year. Mrs. ALEXANDER was born at Grey Rapids and lived at Blissfield for the greater part of her life. She was active in the Anglican Church and community endeavors, kind and thoughtful of others and her death will be learned of with sincere regret.<br /> <br /> She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth ASTLES of Grey Rapids; four sisters: Lottie at home, Mrs. Everett GILKS of Doaktown, Mrs. Maude VICKERS of Newcastle and Mrs. Henry MAHONEY of Grainfield NB; and two brothers, Earl and William ASTLES, both of Grey Rapids.<br /> <br /> The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, from her late home with prayers at 1:30 o’clock by Rev. H. G. Baugh, followed by service in St Agnes Anglican Church, Grey Rapids by Rev Mr. Baugh and Rev. H. M. Alexander. Internment was made in Grey Rapids.<br /> <br /> Source: North Shore Leader - February 09, 1945
