The death of Mrs. William A’HARAN occurred at an early hour on Saturday morning, at the home of Charles Smallwood, Maple Glen, where she had lived for the past year. Mrs. A’HARAN had been in failing health for ten months, and death was not entirely unexpected. She was 78 years of age, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James MacDONALD of Newcastle, and had been a life-long and highly regarded resident of the town. She had many friends who regret her demise.<br /> <br /> Her husband predeceased her ten months ago.<br /> <br /> Surviving is one brother, Daniel MacDONALD from whose residence the funeral was held on Monday afternoon. Rev. D. F. Hoddinott, pastor of the United Church, conducted the service at 2:30 o’clock, and the choir rendered the hymns: What a Friend We Have in Jesus, Rock of Ages and Nearer My God to Thee.<br /> <br /> The pallbearers were: A. E. PETRIE, H. A. TAYLOR, Gordon SOBEY, Hubert HANSEN, Bernard MacDONALD and Emery MacDONALD.<br /> <br /> Interment was made in the Miramichi Cemetery, with A. J.
