Black River Bridge - George Elmer ADAMS of Black River Bridge, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the age of 74. Born in Black River Bridge, NB on September 08, 1942, he was the son of the late Gordon J. and Mary E. (McLEOD) ADAMS. He was a painter working both for Byron MacDonald Ltd. and Brain Adams Painting Ltd. George was Anglican by faith.
George is survived by seven sisters: Eunice WILCOX (Tom) of Winnipeg, Minnie SIMPSON of Miramichi, Marguerite BARRY (Robert) of Miramichi, Hilda ROCCA (Ray) of Saint John, Pauline ADAMS of Miramichi, Christina ADAMS of Black River Bridge, and Norma MUTCH (Scott) of Miramichi; four brothers: Arthur (Lylla) of Napan, Brian (Davida) of Miramichi, Dennis of Black River Bridge, and Don (Kim) of Miramichi; one sister-in-law, Ann of Williamstown.
He was predeceased by his parents, and three brothers, Auley, Jackie, and Alfred.
Visitation was held from Adams Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday, from 11 am to 2 pm. Funeral service was held at the FH Chapel at 2 pm on Saturday following the visitation with Rev. Robert Barry officiating. Music for the service was provided by Gary Cook with his singing: Amazing Grace and Here I Am Lord.
Pallbearers were: Frank BELDING, Emmanuel CHAISSON, Randy FOWLIE and Perley JARDINE.
Burial will be in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd. 140 King Street, Miramichi, telephone 773–3492 or wwww.adamsfh.ca
