Allen ADAMS, formerly of Miramichi, NB, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on November 26, 2022 at the age of 69, following an ongoing illness. Born in Woodstock, NB, he was the son of the late Davis and Margaret (GUSTAVSEN) ADAMS. Allen was a graduate of James M. Hill High School and the People’s College of Copenhagen. This study in Denmark was the beginning of his passion for travel and also ignited his interest and career path in the hotel and hospitality industry, working at many prestigious hotels and restaurants such as; Hotel Nova Scotia, The Silver Spoon, Hotel Beausejour, CN Hotel and Whistler Hotel. In addition, Allen was the proud owner of Saddler’s Cafe Restaurant in Chatham -where he worked tirelessly from sun up to sun down meticulously preparing delicious meals and introducing the Miramichi to unique food creations in a unique environment.
Allen is survived by two brothers, Brandt (Donna) and John (Sandy), both in Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews, one aunt, Betty LORDLY of Halifax; and many cousins and life-long friends.
Besides his parents, Allen was predeceased by two sisters, Astrid JOWETT and Christine ADAMS; and brother-in-law, Chris JOWETT.
At Allen’s request there will be no visiting or funeral service. A graveside burial will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Miramichi, in the spring. Donations to the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Foundation or the SPCA would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB. Telephone: (506) 857-8564 or tuttlefuneralhome.ca
