On Thursday morning, June 19th, the Angel of Death again visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry MATCHETT, Sunny Corner, this time taking from the family circle little Adavilla. Although for the past month she had been confined to her bed with a lingering illness, yet death came as a shock to all. She was the only daughter, the flower of the family, and during the days of her suffering the parents had tended and cared for her with that love and devotion frequently manifested in such cases. The sudden nature of her passing made their grief the worse. Adavilla was a bright young girl. Although only 14 years of age, she was an industrious worker in the Mission Band, Sunday school and Young Peoples Society, and the vacant chair will be keenly felt by these organizations.<br /> <br /> Besides her parents, she leaves to mourn her loss, six brothers: Frank, Huxley and Vance, all of Campbellton, Charles Carl and Don, all at home.<br /> <br /> The funeral service which was held at the home on Friday afternoon, was conducted by Rev. A. A. J. Hogg, assisted by Rev. Wm. Girdwood and student P. C. Cowland. The hymns sung were her favorites: Come Let Us Sing of a Wonderful Love and Blessed Be the Tie That Binds. Many friends and loved ones followed the little body to its final resting place.<br /> <br /> The pallbearers were: Harry JOHNSTON, Harry MATCHETT, Samuel LEACH, Freeman JOHNSTON, George PARKS and William YOUNG.<br /> <br /> Much sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. MATCHETT and family, this being the second death in the family with four months.<br /> <br /> Source: North Shore Leader - June 27, 1930<br />
