Mr. Leonard Joseph Alcide MANUEL, husband of Doris (PITRE) MANUEL of Bellefond Road NB, passed away Thursday November 28, 2019 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 87. Born in Baie Ste Anne NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline MANUEL. He was a retired Industrial Mechanic for Heath Steele Mines and a member of L’Ascension Roman Catholic Church.<br /> <br /> Besides his wife Doris; he is survived by three daughters, Melinda MANUEL (Serge) of Hardwick, Anita MANUEL (Eric MORRIS) of Beaverbrook and Angella GAUVIN (Claude) of Beaverbrook; three sons, Paul (Shelley) MANUEL of Miramichi, Roger (Donna) MANUEL of Moncton and Robert (Heather) MANUEL of Chipman; nine grandchildren: Jason, Christopher, Josh, Nathan, Robyn, Derek, Denis, Chantal and Ashley; eight great-grandchildren: Kalex, Luc, Hayden, Haley, Ava, Alaina, Alexa and Emery.<br /> <br /> Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent and Angus; and one sister, Anna DUPLESSIS. <br /> <br /> Mr. Leonard Joseph Alcide MANUEL is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy. with visitation on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 03, at 11 am at L’Ascension Roman Catholic Church, Beaverbrook, with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of the church cemetery later in the spring. Donations to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or L’Ascension Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated.<br /> Arrangements are in care of Davidson’s Funeral Home (622-7464) or online at www.davidsonsfh.com <br /> <br /> Source: Funeral Home online<br /> <br />
