Kenneth Joseph DOUCET, age 68, of Baie Sainte-Anne, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 02, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Chatham, NB, the son of the late Francis and Alfreda (SAVOIE) DOUCET. Kenneth was a retired lobster fisherman.<br /> <br /> He is survived by his wife Donna DOUCET; sons, Rene DOUCET (Ryette) of Baie Sainte-Anne and Ryan DOUCET (Chris) of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Zacharie; by his sisters and brothers: Alvin DOUCET (Lucine) of Baie Sainte-Anne, Marc DOUCET (Rosemond) of Baie Sainte-Anne, Vina WAFER (Walter) of Montreal, Frank DOUCET (Andrea) of Baie Sainte-Anne, Jean DArc DOUCET of Montreal, Melvin DOUCET (Mona) of Baie Sainte-Anne, Gladys HORAN of Newfoundland, Pierrette O’NEIL (Raymond) of Escuminac, Steve DOUCET (Brigette) of Baie Sainte-Anne and Mary DOUCET (Blaine) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> Kenneth is predeceased by his sisters, Nellie and Barbara; brother, Rudolphe.<br /> <br /> Kenneth Joseph DOUCET rested at the Baie Sainte-Anne Slumberoom in Baie Sainte-Anne, on Tuesday, February 05, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, February 06, 2019, from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral mass was celebrated on Wednesday, February 06, 2019, at St Anne Church in Baie Sainte-Anne, at 4 pm, with Fr Arockia Dass Chinnappan officiating. Hymns were: To The River, You Raise Me Up, Alleluia, Hail Mary, Holy Holy, Quand j’aurai, The Old Rugged Cross, How Great Thou Art and Sailor, by St Anne Choir. <br /> <br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Margaret and Del McLENAGHAN, Searle DOUCET, Ulysse MANUEL, Brenda and Patrice SAVOIE, Danny DOUCET, Zoel MARTIN, Antoine and Noella MARTIN. Pallbearers were: Marc DOUCET, Yves DOUCET, Louis-Phillipe DOUCET, Glen DOUCET, Chris ONEIL, Guy DOUCET and Roderick SAVOIE. <br /> <br /> Funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi, N.B.
