The death of John A’HEARN, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Nowlanville, occurred on Tuesday morning, Dec 2nd, at 10 am after a lingering illness. Mr. A’HEARN was a CNR Section foreman for forty years, having retired about ten years ago, and is widely known all over the CNR System.<br /> <br /> Mr. A’HEARN was aged 77 years and is survived by his wife, five sons: James of CNR, Fredericton, Michael of the CNR, Bathurst, Joseph of Nowlanville, Robert and George at home; seven daughters: Mrs. Everett McEACHERN of South Nelson, Mrs. Bernard LYNCH of Nowlanville, Mrs. Michael LYNCH of Nelson, Mrs. Alfred LYNCH of Craigville, Loretta, Mildred and Lillian, all at home; one brother, Edward of Saint John.<br /> <br /> The funeral will be held on Thursday morning from his late residence at 7:45 to St. Patrick’s Church, South Nelson, where Requiem Mass will be said at 8:30 by Rev. Fr. Wallace and interment will be made in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.<br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - December 03, 1930 <br />
