Ida Mary ADAMS, wife of the late Walter E. ADAMS, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Black River Bridge, passed away at her residence on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the age of 97. Born in Eel River Bridge, NB, on September 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucille (ROBICHAUD) SIPPLEY. She was a homemaker and attended St. Michael’s By the Sea.<br /> <br /> She is survived by two daughters, Lola MAAHS of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Marina CARROLL of Miramichi; three sons, Percy ADAMS (Theresa) of Black River Bridge, Jerry ADAMS (Karen) of Saint John and Fred ADAMS of Miramichi; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> She was predeceased by her parents, husband Walter E. ADAMS; sons: Oliver, Burns, Edward and Carl; granddaughter, Kathy; sisters: Alda, Louise, Madeline, Isabelle, Julia, Lucille and Vergein; brothers: Mathese, William, Nazier, Anthony and Oliver; daughters-in-law, Donna and Judy; sons-in-law, Ralph and Gary.<br /> <br /> Visitation was held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial was followed at 3 pm from the FH Chapel with Father John Fraser as Celebrant. Interment will be held in the Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.
