Arnold Hebert ADAMS, husband of Cathy (DAVIDSON) ADAMS of Howard Road, Blackville, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the age of 72. Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (TAYLOR) ADAMS. He was retired from Maintenance for Corrections Canada, a member of St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, Knight of Columbus and former Newcastle and Sunny Corner Lyon’s Club.<br /> <br /> Besides his wife, Cathy; he is survived by his sisters, Joyce JOHNSTON of Mount St. Joseph and Marjorie LYNCH (Paul) of Moncton; his sister-in-law, Mary Lou MUNN (Blake) of Blackville; and his nieces and nephews: Wally, Andy, Joey, Lori, Lynn, Amy and Charis.<br /> <br /> He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Jean MILLS; and brother-in-law, Ernie MILLS.<br /> <br /> Arnold Herbert ADAMS rested at Father A. A. McKinnon Memorial Room, Blackville, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11 am at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Goodwin Kalu SMMM officiating. Organist, Susan Brophy led St. Raphael’s Choir and soloist, Jansen Urquhart in: How Great Thou Art and Hallelujah. Readings were by Faye BROPHY and Charis LYNCH-COMEAU. Prayers of the Faithful were by Lori MILLS. <br /> <br /> Active pallbearers were: Harry KENNY, Keith ASTLE, Pat HENNESSY, Terry BURNS, Marshall GASTON and Lindsey JARDINE. Honorary pallbearers were: Cameron SOBEY, Gary McLAUGHLIN, Steve FILLIMORE, Bobby KEENAN, Emery BROPHY and Andy JOHNSTON. <br /> <br /> Burial will be at a later date. Donations to NB Extra Mural would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements were in care of Davidson’s Funeral Home, 622-7464 and online at www.davidsonsfh.com. <br /> <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - August 29, 2018<br />
