The death of Mrs. Mary Jane ACKER occurred at the Sister of Mercy Hospital, Denver, Colo., Wednesday following a lengthy illness. Born in Blackville, she was a daughter of Burton and Annie (DOLAN) SCHOFIELD. She was 50.
She is survived by one daughter, Sister Joan Marie, Denver, Colo.; one son, John Richard, Buffalo, NY; her parents, six brothers: Lyman and Harold, both of Buffalo, Dennis of Burlington, ON, Emmerson of Chatham, Donald and Ronald, both of Blackville; one sister, Mrs. Donald GURNEY (Betty Anne) of Burlington, ON; six nieces and two nephews.
The body will arrive at Blackville Friday at 8 pm and will rest at the home of her parents until the funeral which will be held Sunday at 3 pm from St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

FUNERAL -
The funeral for Mrs. Mary Jane ACKER of Buffalo, NY, whose death occurred in Denver, Colorado, was held from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burton SCHOFIELD, Blackville to St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church where High Mass was celebrated by Rev. J. D. Woods. The Epistle of St. Paul to the Thessalonians was read by an aunt, Miss Lillian DOLAN. The choir was led by organist, Miss Monica DONAHUE.
Pallbearers were: Charles MALCHOW, Fredericton; Hazen BRENNAN, Chatham; Arthur DUNPHY, John DAVIDSON, Jr.; Joe ROSS and Lyman CLARK.
Interment was in adjoining cemetery.
Relatives attending from a distance were Sister Joan Marie ACKER, Denver, Colorado; John Richard ACKER; Mr. and Mrs. Lyman SCHOFIELD, Mrs. Arthur CHRISTENSEN, all of Buffalo, NY; Mr. and Mrs. Don GURNEY, Dennis SCHOFIELD, Chatham; Mr. and Mrs. Charles DOLAN, Uxbridge, Mass; Mrs. Gerald DUFFY and Mrs. Maurice RANDALL, Chipman.
