Sterling R. AMOS, 76, of Oakville, Ontario, and formerly of Newcastle, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1991, in Oakville. Born in Lower Derby, N.B. he was a veteran of World War II, having served 27 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch II4, Oakville and life member of Hiram Lodge 6, Newcastle; the Royal Arch Masons, Oakville Shrine Club, and a member and former elder of Knox Prestyterian Church.<br /> He is survived by his wife, Mabel; two sons, David and Glen; a daughter, Linda; daughters-in-law, Linda and Jan; and son-in-law, Dean LAIN; seven grandchildren: Heather, Scott and Amanda AMOS, and Cheryl, Coral, Lori and Jenna LAIN; also, three brothers, Ernest, Bliss and Donald; a sister, Reta.<br /> He was predeceased by a brother, Price.<br /> The body rested at Ward Funeral Home, Oakville Chapel, Oakville, Ontario. A Masonic service was held Friday at 7:30 p.m. and funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Oakville, Saurday at 11 a.m.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - February 13, 1991
