The death of James YOUNG, a former resident of this town, occurred on Friday, June 29th, at his home in Athol, Mass., and many old friends here will learn of his demise with regret. <br /> <br /> Mr. YOUNG was 67 years of age and is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters, two brothers, Leonard of Chatham and Frederick of Bathurst; one sister, Mrs. James RYAN of this town. The children who all reside in Athol are: Walter, James, Cecil, Thomas, Mrs. Robert SINCLAIR, Mrs. Cecil McKENZIE, Mrs. Harry EMMET, and Corinne.<br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - July 06, 1928<br /> ********************************************* <br /> FUNERAL - <br /> <br /> Athol, Mass., July 2nd - The funeral services for James M. YOUNG, 65 years old, who died at his home, 131 Cottage Street, on Friday afternoon after an illness of about a year were conducted by Rev. H. G. Alder in St. John’s Episcopal Church at 9 o’clock Monday morning, followed by burial in Silver Lake Cemetery.<br /> <br /> He was born in Richibucto, NB and lived in Chatham until about a year ago. He was a member of True Blue L.O.L. No. 90.<br /> <br /> He leaves his widow, Jane YOUNG; four daughters: Mabel, Annie, Nina and Corinne; four sons: Walter, Cecil and Thomas of Athol, and James Jr., of New York; two brothers, Charles and Frederick; a sister, Clara.<br /> <br /> The pallbearers were: George JARDINE Sr., Donald MacLEAN, John MacLEAN, Harry EMMETT, Robert SINCLAIR and Cecil McKENZIE.<br /> <br /> Source: Chatham Gazette - July 18, 1928
