Sincere sympathy is extended Mr. and Mrs. B. L. YOUNG of Quarryville in the death of their beloved son, Harold Peter, which occurred at their home there on Tuesday, March 5th. Deceased was thirteen years of age and was a pupil at Quarryville school where he was greatly liked by his teacher and classmates. He had been ill about two weeks, and death was due to meningitis, following the flu.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, John; and one sister, Emily.
The funeral was held Thursday day morning at 9:30 o’clock at St. Bridget’s Church, Renous, where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. J. M. Burns.
The pallbearers were: Roy, Clair and Cecil OAK, Ray JARDINE, Stanley FOY and Cletus YOUNG.
Interment was in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. The funeral was largely attended, and the school children attended in a body. Deceased is a nephew of Mrs. J. E. T. LINDON and of Miss Myrtle FOY of this town and of P. J. YOUNG of Renous.
