Lawrence Clifford (Laurie) WRIGLEY, 93, husband of the late Margaret (GALLANT) WRIGLEY of Loggieville, passed away on Saturday February 13, 2016 at the Headwater Health Centre in Orangeville, Ontario. Born in Chatham, NB, the son of the late Joseph & Agnes (LANE) WRIGLEY. Lawrence served with the Canadian Army WWII with the Calgary Highlanders being wounded in Belgium before returning home. Lawrence worked as with Canada Post in Loggieville for 35 years, and also as a Commissioner at CFB Chatham.
Lawrence is survived by his children: Paul, Michael (Cathy) of Oshawa, Harold (Debbie) of Niagara on the Lake, Helen (Brian) BROCKLEBANK, Anne (Gord) GROSVENOR of Laurel Ontario, Shirley (Jim) WILKINSON, John (Janice) of Miramichi; grandchildren: Joe, Katie, Brian and Jason WRIGLEY, Robert and Lora GROSVENOR (Colin McMICHAEL), Rachel, Tania and David BROCKLEBANK; great-grandchildren, Abigail GROSVENOR, Coral and Van BROCKLEBANK; sisters, Mary CLARK and Katherine KINGSTON or Oshawa, ON; and several nieces and nephews.
Lawrence is predeceased by his wife, Margaret (GALLANT) WRIGLEY; and granddaughter, Nicole; brothers: Stan, Louis, Clarence, Cornelius, and William; sisters, Bernetta, Melvina, and Cecila.
Lawrence WRIGLEY is resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi on Friday February 19, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 20, 2016 at 11am from St Andrew's Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Udeh officiating. Hymns by St Andrews Choir with organist, Norma Sugden. Soloist, Dawn Patterson.
Active pallbearers: Paul WRIGLEY, Michael WRIGLEY, Harold WRIGLEY, John WRIGLEY, Brian WRIGLEY and Jason WRIGLEY.
