The death of Mrs. Gertrude L. WOODS, wife of Archibald C. WOODS, Douglastown, occurred suddenly at her home, Friday, May 17th. Mrs. WOODS was in her 61st year. Born in Blackville, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Catherine (McCARTHY) BROWN. <br /> <br /> Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, Richard and MacNeil, both of Douglastown; one daughter, Mrs. Alfred ROGERS, Halifax; two sisters, Mrs. Patrick CONDRON, Newcastle and Mrs. John DRISCOLL, Douglastown; and a brother, Frank BROWN, Monticello, Me. <br /> <br /> The funeral was held from her home on Saturday morning at 8:40 o’clock to St. Samuel’s Church, Douglastown, where Requiem Mass was celebrated at 9 o’clock. Interment was in St. Samuel’s Cemetery. <br /> <br /> Source: North Shore Leader- May 24, 1957<br />
