Myles AMOS, 82, of 225 Millhaven Street, Bathurst, died suddenly Monday at Regional Hospital Centre. Born in Red Bank, he was the son of the late George and Barbara [SUTHERLAND] AMOS. He was a former employee of Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill, and was a member of the companies Quarter Centry Club. He was a member and past Master of Lodge Saint John 27, F&AM, where he recently received his 60 year membership pin. He was past Patron of the Eastern Star, a long-time Gideon Bible Memorial representative of Bathurst area, and founding member and former Deacon of the Bayview Baptist Church. <br /> Besides his wife, the former Rita LEAMAN, he is survived by one son, Harry [Eva], of Ottawa; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth BISHOP [Laurie], of Fredericton; a brother, Robert, of Moncton; four sisters: Mrs. Jean MacCALLUM [Percy], of Lower Derby, Mrs. Minnie ROSS [James], of Howell, Mich., USA, Mrs. Jessie JARDINE, of Newcastle, Mrs. Greta CHEVRIER, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. <br /> Predeceased by two sisters: Joyce and Eliza.<br /> The body is resting at the Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst.
