Krystal Beth AMOS, 52, of Doaktown, NB, passed away very unexpectedly at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, on August 19, 2012. Born in Doaktown on August 15, 1960, she was the daughter of Bertha P. WARD and the late George AMOS. Krystal excelled in providing home care to many seniors in her hometown, after having cared for a great many children in earlier years and maintained contact with many of her extended families over the years. She also volunteered in many activities, always willing to lend a helping hand. Her humour and entertaining spirit shone through, whether performing her characters: Pumpkin Pat, Mrs. Claus and Josafeen, or in writing poems for many special celebrations in her community or elsewhere. One of her greatest moments was when she performed her Josafeen character at the Miramichi Salmon Association dinner in Boston in 2010. She also wrote a monthly column in the Doaktown newsletter. She loved her church, community and especially her family and friends. She will dearly be missed by all.
She is survived by her mother, Bertha; siblings: Keith AMOS [Elouise], Karen STOREY [Vaughn], Kimball AMOS [Shirley]; nieces and nephews: Jessica MOREHOUSE [Aaron], Timothy AMOS, Adam STOREY [Kristen], Tyler STOREY [Ashley], Hailee and Holly AMOS, and her great-nieces and -nephew: Annabelle, Liliana and Cohen, and many relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her father, George; her step-father, Allison WARD; maternal grandparents; Annie and Hubert MOREHOUSE; paternal grandparents, Annie and Hardy AMOS.
Visitation will take place at Davidsons Funeral Home, Main St. Doaktown, on Thursday, August 23, 2012 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm, with service of remembrance on Friday at 2pm in the Doaktown United Baptist Church, Rev. Kevin Mahoney officiating, assisted by Rev. Roger Mitchell. The interment in the Doaktown Baptist Church Cemetery to follow immediately. In keeping with her giving spirit, she chose to be an organ donator and to give the gift of life.
