Yvonne CHEVARIE, wife of Fidele CHEVARIE of Young Ridge Road, Rogersville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 66. Born in on Collette Dec. 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Claire [LANDRY] GALLANT. She attended St. Francois de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her step-mother, Victorine POIRIER; two daughters, Cecile [husband Yves LeBLANC] and Paulette [husband Kerry WARES], all of Rogersville; 2 sons, Raymond and Maurice [wife Louise], all of Rogersville; eight sisters: Alice GAUDET, of Rogersville, Clara STEWART, of Newfoundland, Jeanne GALLANT, of Collette, Josephine [husband Joe LeBLANC], of Bouctouche, Ella [husband Jean Guy SAVOY], of Neguac, Cecile [husband Archie FLYN], of Memramcook, Helena [husband Melford SONIER], Lilienne [husband Gilbert LaROCQUE], all of Miramichi, and Therese [husband Robert BABIN], of Saint John; four brothers: Wilfred [wife Geraldine], of Rogersville; Marcel [wife Alice], of Collette; Paul [wife Maureen], of Toronto, ON; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters: Edna OTTERN, Rosalie GOGUEN, and Marie GALLANT; and three brothers, Eddy, Leo and Donald.
The remains of the late Mrs. CHEVARIE rested at the Saint Francois de Sales Slumber Room. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 10:30 am with Father Arthur Bourgeois officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home, Pleasant St., Miramichi, NB.
