The late Ernest M. AMOS, 87 of 323 Main Street, Chatham Head, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1994 at the Miramichi Hospital in Newcastle, following a lengthy illness. Born in Lower Derby, he was the son of the late Spurgeon and Ethel [PRICE] AMOS. He was a pipe fitter by trade and also a retired foreman at the C.P. Burchill Farm in Nelson-Miramichi. He was also a member of the Newcastle United Baptist Church. <br /> He is survived by a son, Jim, of Wolfville, NS; a sister, Mrs. Rita STEWART, of Minto; and two brothers: Donald, of California, and Bliss, of Peterborough, ON; three granddaughters: Sarah, Elizabeth, and Margaret; as well as several nieces and nephews.<br /> Committal service will be held at the Miramichi Cemetery in Newcastle at a later date. Arrangements were in the care of Adams Funeral Home in Newcastle. <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - September 27, 1994
