Veus J. PELLERIN of Baie Ste. Anne died Tuesday, April 12, 1988 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham after a short illness. Born in Cocagne 96 years ago, he was a son of the late Taddy and Emily (CORMIER) PELLERIN. He was a Merchant in Baie Ste. Anne.<br /> <br /> He is survived by a son, Aurelle of Baie Ste. Anne; three daughters, Mrs. Stella MARTIN and Mrs. Delia SMYTH both of Baie Ste. Anne, and Mrs. Argentine DEVINE of Truro, NS; three brothers, Genereu of Moncton, Zoel and Celime both of Hartford, Conn.; 30 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> The body rested at Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Friday afternoon, April 15th with Rev. Alphonse Richard officiating. <br /> <br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Yvon, Eloie and Ernest DURELLE Jr., Israel DESPRES, Raymond MAZEROLLE and Nerry MARTIN. Active pallbearers were: Zoel CHIASSON, Clement MARTIN, Michel DEVINE, Gerard DURELLE, Michel and Ronald PELLERIN. <br /> <br /> Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> <br /> Source: Northumberland News - April 20, 1988
