Wilson CORCORAN, of South Nelson, died Tuesday, August 28, 1990 at the Miramichi Hospital following a brief illness. Born in South Nelson seventy-eight years ago, he was a son of the late Everett and Alice [ROY] CORCORAN. He was a retired supervisor for the Department of National Defence in Renous and a member of St. Marks Anglican Church, Nelson-Miramichi. A veteran of the Second World War, he had served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps [RCASC].<br /> He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George STEWART [Mae], of Trout Brook, and Mrs. Steve YURKIW [Marie], of Brampton, Ont.; two sons, Edward [Ted], of Ferry Road, and Alvin [Tom], of South Nelson; a sister, Mrs. Basil UNDERHILL [Hilda], of Derby; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.<br /> The body rested at Bells Funeral Home, Newcastle. Funeral service was held Friday, August 31, 1990 at St. Marks Anglican Church, Nelson-Miramichi with Rev. Barry Thorley officiating, assisted by Rev. Arynal Ingalls and Rev. B.M. Broderick. David Somers was the organist and the hymns were: Amazing Grace and The Old Rugged Cross.<br /> Pallbearers were: Chris and Larry CORCORAN, Edward STEWART, Reggie BOISVERT, Jeff BAXTER and Steve YURKIN.<br /> Burial was in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements in the care of Bells Funeral Home, Newcastle.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - September 5, 1990
