SUTHERLAND, Wilson [Bill], of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, May 01, 2012, in his 82nd year. Husband for 44 years to the late Mieke [nee VERHOEF] SUTHERLAND [Aug. 12, 2011].<br /> Brother of Davis SUTHERLAND [Grace], of Elliot Lake, Robert SUTHERLAND [Marilyn], of Whitney, NB, and James SUTHERLAND [Rolla], of Cassilis, NB. Brother-in-law of William [Bill] and Tina VERHOEF, of R.R.#4, Aylmer. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and by Linda and Bill THOMSON, of R.R.#2, Wallacetown, and Mary and Len KELLY, of St. Thomas. <br /> Predeceased by four sisters and a brother. <br /> Born in Cassilis, NB, November 22, 1930, he was the son of the late Joseph and Iris [nee HOWE] SUTHERLAND. Wilson [Bill] was a retired teacher and a former preacher.<br /> In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
