The death of Mrs. Catherine ST. ONGE, nee Kitty TROY, daughter of the late John H. TROY, former Mayor of Newcastle, occurred in Saint Michaels Hospital on Monday, Feb. 4, in Toronto after an illness of several months. She was born in Newcastle, attended Harkins Academy after which she had two years at Mount Allison Ladies College in Arts and Crafts, in the early thirties. Moving to Toronto several years ago, she was a saleslady at The Shoppe DOr at 119 Yorkville Ave., off Avenue Road.<br /> She leaves to mourn her mother, Mrs. Helen HUBBARD, formerly of Newcastle, now at The Farraline Home in Fredericton; her sister, Davida [Mrs. Archie CROSS], formerly of Newcastle, now in Fredericton; her sister, Jackie, [Mrs. Weldon CREAMER], of Newcastle, N.B.; several nieces and nephews in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Ont. and Newcastle, N.B.<br /> Funeral arrangements under the supervision of Ross Craig Funeral Home in Toronto with Mr. Arnold Riemer of Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Avenue Road officiating, were held on Wednesday, Feb 6th. Later in the spring, there will be a committal service in the family lot in Miramichi Cemetery, Newcastle.<br /> Source: North Shore Leader - February 13, 1974
