The death of Mrs. Edwin SPINNEY, nee Jean MacRAE, occurred at Moncton Hospital on April 3. Born in Hardwicke, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William MacRAE, the deceased had resided in Moores Mills since her marriage. She was well-known as a teacher of ability, having taught in many parts of the province.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, David and Bobby; and one daughter, Sandra; also her parents; two sisters, [Esther] Mrs. Allan GREGAN and [Merle] Mrs. James GREGAN, besides several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Albert, predeceased her several years ago.
The funeral was held from her home in Moores Mills on Wednesday, April 7. The service was conducted by Rev. Mr. Ross and Rev. Mr. MacKenzie. The hymns sung were: The Lord Is My Shepherd and Love That Will Not Let Me Go, the latter being a favourite of the deceased.
Pallbearers were: Frank CLARK, Phillip CALDWELL, James GREGAN and Fraser MacRAE.
The floral tributes were many and beautiful, testifying to the esteem in which she was held.
Interment was in Moores Mills Cemetery.
