A well-known and respected citizen of Ferry Road passed away Friday morning February 8, when the death of Leonard SIMPSON occurred at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham. Mr. SIMPSON was a hospital patient there in December wand had recently returned to hospital after being at his home for a few weeks. He was a marine engineer and had carried out his work on boats on the Great Lakes and in Halifax, until retiring several years ago.<br /> The late Mr. SIMPSON was born in Lower Neguac and had resided in Ferry Road for quite a number of years.<br /> --- incomplete ---<br /> Source: North Shore Leader - February 15, 1952 [courtesy the collection of Ben Donovan]
