Ada Alice Eliza [MacKNIGHT] SAVOY, wife of the late Cecil SAVOY, of Tabusintac Nursing Home, formerly of Burnt Church NB, passed away Friday October 23, 2015 at Tabusintac Nursing Home, at the age of 95. Born in New Jersey NB, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Minerva [MURRAY] MacKNIGHT. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Davids United Church, Burnt Church, former member of UCW & Womens Institute, and also a member of Burnt Church/New Jersey Seniors Group.<br /> She is survived by two sisters, Elsie HANSON [Robert], of Windsor, ON, and Lois McINTOSH [John], of Stratford, ON, also several nieces and nephews. <br /> Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Rita PALMER [Len]; and one brother, Keith MacKNIGHT [Lorraine].<br /> Ada Alice Eliza [MacKNIGHT] SAVOY rested at Davidsons Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy., Miramichi, with visitation on Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9. The Funeral Service was held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the FH Chapel with Rev. Gerald Blacquiere officiating. Music was by organist/soloist, Shirley Estey. The reading remembering Ada was by June KERRY. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Jason MacKNIGHT, Jamie MacKNIGHT, Gary ALLAIN, Cory MacKNIGHT, Jeremy MacKNIGHT and Patrick KERRY. <br /> Burial followed in the family lot of Burnt Church Union Cemetery. Donations were made to Burnt Church Union Cemetery, Tabusintac Nursing Home and Church River Historical Society. <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - November 06, 2015
