Sylvio V. SAVOIE, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Sunday, September 22, 1985 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham after a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne 68 years ago, he was a son of the late Alfred and Marie [MANUEL] SAVOIE. He was a fish buyer by trade.<br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Alma JIMMO; three sons, Sylvio Jr., Wayne and Kevin, all of Baie Ste. Anne; two daughters, Brenda, of Chatham, and Mrs. David COOL [Corrine], of Sarnia, ON; three brothers, Livia and Alderic, both of Baie Ste. Anne, and Alfred, of Chatham; a sister, Mrs. Allen GIBBS [Jessie], of Moncton; 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.<br /> The body rested at the slumber room of Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where a funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday, September 24. Burial followed in the church cemetery. <br /> Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - September 25, 1985 <br /> ************************************************************************ <br /> FUNERAL - <br /> Funeral mass for Sylvio V. SAVOIE, of Baie Ste. Anne, was celebrated on Tuesday, September 24 from the Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Alphonse Richard officiating.<br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Ethime MANUEL, Irvin DURELLE, Leandre SAVOIE, Armond SAVOIE, Dode DEALY and Israel DURELLE. Active pallbearers were: Patrick SAVOIE, Michael GIBBS, Guy SAVOIE, James JIMMO, Eymard SAVOIE and Paul SAVOIE.<br /> Burial followed in the church cemetery.
