Sylvio SAVOIE, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Sunday, April 30, 1989 on arrival to Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham. Born in Baie Ste. Anne 46 years ago, he was a son of Alma [JIMMO] SAVOIE and the late Sylvio SAVOIE. He was a fisherman.<br /> Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Anita MARTIN; a son, Marc, of Baie Ste. Anne; seven daughters: Mrs. Rene MAZEROLLE [Gail] and Mrs. Vitale MANUEL [Joanne], both of Baie Ste. Anne, Mrs. Edgar DAIGLE [Cynthia], of Pointe Sapin, and Racheal, Exeline, Marise and Chantel, all at home; two brothers, Wayne and Kevin, both of Baie Ste. Anne; two sisters, Mrs. David COULL [Corinne], of Sarina, Ont., and Mrs. Brendon SAVOIE, of Chatham; and four grandchildren.<br /> The body rested at Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, May 3 with Rev. Alphonse Richard officiating.<br /> The active pallbearers were: Vital MANUEL, Edgar DAIGLE, Rene MAZEROLLE, Valmond MARTIN, Placide SAVOIE and Hilaire SAVOIE. The honorary pallbearers were: Alphonse DOUCETTE, Paul SAVOIE, Alfred SAVOIE, Augustine Jr. MARTIN, Elmer MARTIN and Jean-Marc MARTIN.<br /> Burial was in the parish cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - May 10, 1989
