Mr. Walter C. ALLISON, the late husband of Roma [MATCHETT] ALLISON, of 1264 Hwy. 425, Whitney, passed away Mon., Feb. 5, 2001 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 76. Born in Boom Road, he was the son of the late Howard and Laura [SHERRARD] ALLISON. He was a retired security guard at Repap, a member of Boom Road Pentecostal Church, and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 10, Sunny Corner.<br /> Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters: Carolyn LEROUX, Deborah DUNSCOMBE [Roger], all of Ottawa, ON, Dale CLARK [Keith], of Chelmsford; 3 sons: Gary [Frances], of Strathadam, Burton & David, at home; one brother, Burton ALLISON, of Ottawa, ON; 11 grandchildren.<br /> Predeceased by parents: sisters: Jean BLACKMORE, Ruby BLACKMORE, Pauline YOUNG, Reba WATT; and one brother, Irvine.<br /> Visitation at Davidsons Funeral Home on Wed. The funeral service was held Thursday, February 8, 2001 at 2 pm. from Boom Road Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Fred Williams officiating, assisted by Rev. Willard Watling. Burial in Presbyterian Cemetery, Boom Road in the spring. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Mike TIMMONS, Wilfred RYAN, Jeff DOUCET, John CAMPBELL, Albert SAVOY, Peter YOUNG, and Osborne NOWLAN. Honorary pallbearers were: Cecil CURTIS, Bervel FORSYTHE, Donald LEACH, Morris ALLISON, Jim WHITNEY, and Blair MATCHETT.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - February 13, 2001
