Romuald MANUEL, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Tuesday, January 12, 1988 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham, after a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne 40 years ago, he was a son of James and Virginia [MARTIN] MANUEL. He was a fisherman.<br /> Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers: Meldric, Adrien, Ulysse and Gerald, all of Baie Ste. Anne; three sisters, Mrs. Clement MARTIN [Elzea], of Beresford, Mrs. Jean Paul BREAU [Bernadette], of Neguac, and Mrs. Marc MARTIN [Zelma], of Baie Ste. Anne.<br /> The body rested at Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Thursday afternoon, January 14 with Rev. Alphonse Richard officiating.<br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Elmo and Paul SAVOIE, Ovila, Yvon and Gervais MARTIN, Denis MANUEL, Richard and Jean Paul THERIAULT. Active pallbearers were: Stephen and Zoel MARTIN, Marty and Ronald MANUEL, Kenneth DOUCET and Abel LIRETTE.<br /> Interment will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - January 20, 1988
