Mr. George MAZEROLLE, of Eel River Road, Northumberland County, N.B., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 69.Born in Baie Ste.-Anne, N.B., he was the son of the late George and Opaline [MAZEROLLE] MAZEROLLE. He was a fisherman and was affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. <br /> He is survived by seven sisters: Edith THERIAULT [Paul], of Fredericton, Eloise COMEAU [Joseph], of St. Louis de Kent, Aline BLACKWOOD [Eric], of Sussex Corner, Maria BROWN [Christopher], of Miramichi, Argentine RICHARD [Gerald], of Miramichi, Edna DEMERS [Armand], of Miramichi, Rina MANUEL [Yvon], of Baie Ste. Anne; four brothers: Nicholas [Catherine],of Nackawick, Hubert [Yvette], of Bathurst,Rodolphe [Gail], Leo [Mary], of Labrador City.<br /> He is predeceased by two sisters, Stella, Enlevine; and one brother, Vilban.<br /> Remains rested at the slumber room in BaieSte, Anne on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. Mass of Christian burial was at Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 4 p.m., officiated by Fr. Robert Savoy. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Norman MAZEROLLE, Guy, Eric, Richard, and Maxwell LACKWOOD, Colin MANUEL and Marc DEMERS. Honorary pallbearers were: Alyre MARTIN, Fernand GIBBS, Leo THERIAULT, Omer ARSENAULT, Louis SCOFIELD, Aurele CHIASSON, Eugene RICHARD, Edmond RICHARD and Anthime CHIASSON.<br /> Arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham, 773-4321.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - February 2, 1999
