Ruby Angeline ALLISON, widow of the late Stillman ALLISON, of Miramichi Sr Citizens Home, Chatham, NB, formerly of Boom Road, passed away at her late residence on Wed., Dec. 3, 1997, at age 90. Born in Sunny Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Minnie (MULLIN) MacDONALD. She was a homemaker, a member of the Red Bank Womens Institute, and a member of St. Stephens United Church in Red Bank.
Survived by 2 sons: Theodore, of Boom Road, and Glenford, Thunder Bay, ON; 10 daughters: Dorothea NOWLAN and Thelma (Mrs. Ervin MATCHETT), all of Sunny Corner, Helen (Mrs. Perley WAYE), of Wayerton, NB, Shirley SMALLWOOD, Datherine (Mrs. Gerald McALLISTER), Elizabeth [Mrs. Jack BROWN], all of Thunder Bay, Grace (Mrs. Cortney CARLETON), Leva (Mrs. Ralph PORTER), all of Sunny Corner, Treva (Mrs. Brian MELVIN), of Thunder Bay, and Della (Mrs. Barry HUNT), of Calgary, AB; one sister, Phoebe HUTCHINGS, of Willowdale, ON; 47 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by two sons: Merton MacDONALD and Arnott ALLISON; four sisters: Mary McCAULL, Guernetta MATCHETT, Margaret HARE, and Leona CURTIS; 2 brothers: Stuart and Irvin MacDONALD.
The remains rested at the Boom Road Pentecostal Slumber Room, with visiting Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service held from St. Stephens United Church, Red Bank, NB, on Saturday, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lori Jacobson officiating. Organist was Lois McKinnon. Choir was St. Stephens United Church. Hymns were: In The Sweet By And By and In The Garden [both congregational], and: Here I Am Lord, by the choir.
Pallbearers: Robert KENNY, Arnott NOWLAN, Eric McCALLUM, Bobby CONNORS, Scott NOWLAN and Richard PORTER.
Burial in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery later in the spring. Funeral arrangements in the care of Bells Funeral
