Claude ARSENAULT, 72, of 64 Eel River Road, Baie Ste. Anne, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 1999 at Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, he was the son of the late Damas and Marie [THERIAULT] ARSENAULT. He attended the Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of the Korea Association, and a veteran of the Korean conflict.
He is survived by two sisters, Georgette ARSENAULT, of Baie Ste. Anne, Blandine [ARSENAULT] SAVOIE, of Grand Anse; one brother, Omer ARSENAULT, of Baie Ste. Anne; one adopted sister, Jeanne [THERIAULT] SAVOIE, of Baie Ste. Anne; two nieces, Francine [GERVAIS] AUBE, of Robertville, and Paulette [Ken] EDWARDS, of Beresford; two nephews, Yves DAIGLE, of Bathurst, and Jacques DAIGLE, of Winnipeg. He is also survived by four great-nieces, Manon, Stephanie, Chanie, Julie; and three great-nephews, Dominic, Rene and Drayk.
The remains rested at the church slumber room. Mass of Christian burial was held at Baie Ste. Anne Church on Monday, at 4 p.m. officiated by Rev. Robert Savoie. The Golden Age Club, and a large attendance of WW II and Korean veterans were present.
Active pallbearers were: Patrice SAVOIE, Yves DAIGLE, Gervais and Dominic AUBE, Ken EDWARDS and Louis SCHOFIELD.
Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.
