A large circle of friends will learn with regret of the death of Mrs. Aileen AITKEN, wife of Police Magistrate R.T.D. AITKEN, which occurred at Lakeview Sanatorium, Burlington Vermont, on Wednesday morning, May 29th. Mrs. AITKEN had been ill for some time and entered the sanatorium for treatment a few months ago. She had been steadily progressing towards recovery until Tuesday when she suffered a relapse. The late Mrs. AITKEN was a native of Calgary and had resided here for about ten years. She gained popularity in a wide circle by her friendly disposition and kindly, pleasant manner, and sincere sympathy is being extended to Mr. AITKEN and daughter, Alleen, in their bereavement.<br /> <br /> Mr. AITKEN and daughter left on Wednesdays Limited for Burlington to accompany the remains to Newcastle for interment.<br /> <br /> Source: North Shore Leader - May 31, 1935
