The passing of Edmond [Eddie] DAIGLE, husband of Adele [HACHE] DAIGLE, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on March 01, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 16, 1930 in Pointe-Sapin, NB, he was a son of the late Pierre and Seraphie [MALLET] DAIGLE. Eddie was a Hydraulic Mechanic with NB Power for over 34 years. He was a charter member of NB Power 25 year Club and a past member of the Marysville Bowling Club. He enjoyed being involved in community fundraising events, doing woodworking and crafts for charities and was an avid hockey and baseball coach.
Besides his wife of 53 years, Eddie is survived by his sons: Vincent, of Fredericton, NB, Ronald [Cheryl], of Fredericton, NB, Jean-Guy, of Toronto, ON, and Gilles DAIGLE [Natalie], of Tofield, AB; his daughters, Mary HICKEY [Steve], of Fredericton, NB, and Cathy, of Moncton, NB; grandchildren: Mark, Brittany, Chelsea, Vanessa, Samantha, Ryan, Shelly and Tom; great-grandchildren, Alicia and Callum; sisters: Delema ARSENEAULT, Margaret DURELLE and Bertha WILSON, all of Moncton, NB, and Therese DAIGLE, of Baie Ste Anne, NB; brother, Alex MAZEROLLE, of Pointe-Sapin, NB; special niece, Stella; several nieces and nephews; best canine friend, Shelby.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six sisters and seven brothers.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 12 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place at St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.yorkfh.com
