The death of Kenneth Campbell WRIGHT, of Halcomb, and formerly of Stonehaven, Gloucester County, occurred Wednesday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William CHAMBERS, following a lengthy illness. He was 83 years old. Born in Shannonvale, Restigouche County, he was a son of the late James and Katherine [CAMPBELL] WRIGHT. Prior to his retirement he was a farmer and interior decorator. <br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Ida DEMPSEY, of Stonehaven; one daughter, Mrs. William CHAMBERS [Vern], of Halcomb; three sisters: Mrs. Bessie COMEAU, of Sackville, Mrs. Rose CARLTON, of Youngs Cove Road, and Mrs. Hazel MORTIMER, of Campbellton; two brothers: Melvin, of Regina, and Allison, of Campbellton.<br /> The remains rested at the home of his daughter, Mrs. CHAMBERS, until Saturday afternoon when the funeral service was held at the Lyttleton Pentecostal Church at two oclock. Rev. Bruce Fisher, pastor of the church conducted the service, assisted by Rev. T. J. Kenna, of the Boom Road Pentecostal Church, and Rev. Bruce Lumsden, of Little Southwest Baptist Church, Sillikers. The church choir was in attendance and Rev. Mr. Fisher rendered two solos.<br /> Pallbearers were: Delbert CHAMBERS, Allen STEWART, Karl JOHNSTONE, Newton JOHNSTONE, Edmund MUTCH, and Eldon TOZER.<br /> Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.<br /> Those from a distance attending the funeral were: his brother, Allison WRIGHT, his sister, Mrs. Hazel MORTIMER, and his sister-in law, Mrs. Mabel WRIGHT, from Campbellton, nephews and nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell WRIGHT of Campbellton, Mr. and Mrs. Donald INNIS of Dalhousie, Mr. and Mrs. Fred COMEAU, Melvin COMEAU, and Mrs. Allen BUTTIMER of Bathurst, Kenneth C. COMEAU and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley DEMPSEY of Moncton, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas KELLY, Saint John. Many friends and neighbours from Dalhousie, Miscou, Bathurst, and the New Bandon downshore area also attended.<br /> Source: North Shore Leader - April 13, 1972
