Ada Marjorie WILLISTON, widow of the late Harry W. WILLISTON, of King George Highway, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at the age of 94. Born in Auburnville, on February 26, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eliza [WILLISTON] McCLENAGHAN. She was a homemaker and a dedicated member of St. Marks United Church, Miramichi; a life member of the U.C.W. of St. Marks United Church; a former Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by six daughters: Lillian MURRAY, of Moncton, Jane HENWOOD [Clayton], of Riverview, Bertha SHADDICK [William], Shirley WILLISTON, of Miramichi, Lydia MESZARO [Andrew], of Sutton, Mass., USA, Carolyn RICHARDS [Charles], of Moncton; one son, Harry WILLISTON [Dawn], of Holden, Mass., USA; one sister, Ellen WILLISTON, of Miramichi; three brothers: Bernard McCLENAGHAN, of Bayside, Phineas McCLENAGHAN, of Riverview, and Norman McCLENAGHAN, of Miramichi; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry, in 1985; twin infant daughters, Mildred and Margaret; one sister, Mildred McGUIRE; five brothers: Burton, Freeman, Reuben, Alvin and William McCLENAGHAN.
Visiting was held at the funeral home on Saturday. Funeral service was held from St. Marks United Church, Miramichi, on Sunday, July 30, 2006, at 3 pm, conducted by Rev. Ross Wiseman. Organist, Mrs. Shirley Estey, who offered a solo: Beyond The Sunset. Congregational hymns: When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder and Mansion Over The Hilltop. Rev. Ross and Joanne Wiseman presented a duet: These Hands Of Mine. Special musical selection by Jim Conover. Special memories offered by her son, Harry WILLISTON. Scriptures read by Heidi Gorham and Perry Henwood.
The pallbearers were: Earl CAMPBELL, Merle CAMPBELL, Arnold WILLISTON, Bill SCOTT, Ron KIERSTEAD and Rosaire SCHOFIELD.
Interment was in St. Marks Cemetery, Miramichi. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone 773-3492. www.adamsfh.ca
