Wilson Harry WHITNEY, of Thunder Bay, ON, formerly of Whitney, NB, died Monday Oct. 23, 1989, at McKellar Hospital after a short illness. Born in Whitney, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell WHITNEY. He served overseas with the Canadian Army three years before his retirement in 1986 and was employed with Thunder Bay grain trimmers.<br /> He is survived by his wife, the former Eva HARE; a daughter, Mrs. Brian SIEGFRIED [Linda]; son, Harry; three grandchildren, all of Thunder Bay; six brothers: Elwin, of Thunder Bay, Lawrence, of Douglastown, Stillman, George, Ernest and Hubert, all of Whitney; three sisters: Mrs. Bernetta SHERRARD, of Boom Road, Mrs. Myrtle BAISLEY, of Brantford, ON, and Mrs. Margaret TOZER, of Whitney.<br /> Funeral service was held in Thunder Bay, Ontario.<br /> Source: local newspaper clipping [courtesy the collection of Dianne Mullin]
