The death of Gerard TURBIDE, of Baie Ste. Anne, occurred Friday, November 2 at Miramichi Hospital, Newcastle. Born in the Magdalen Islands 65 years ago, he was a son of the late Martin and Julia [TURBIDE] TURBIDE.<br /> He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Geraldine THIBEAULT, of Baie Ste. Anne; two brothers: Arsene, of Scoudouc, and Alphonse, of Baie Ste. Anne; two sisters: Mrs. Isaac H. THERIAULT and Mrs. Peter MANUEL, both of Baie Ste. Anne; and by four grandchildren.<br /> The body rested at the slumber room of the Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church from where the funeral service was held on Sunday afternoon concelebrated by Father DEmour, Father LeBlanc and Father Boudreau.<br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Francis DOUCET, Jack DOUCET, Hyacinthe DOUCET, Roy LLOYD, Gregory SAVOIE, and Bernard JENKINS. Active pallbearers were: Albin TURBIDE, Cyril MANUEL, Roland THERIAULT, Alderic SAVOIE, Lawrence MANUEL, and Maurice DEMOUR.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery.<br /> Source: North Shore Leader - November 15, 1973
