Lionel THIBODEAU, 84, of Thibodeau Lane, Baie Ste Anne, NB, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born July 8, 1926 in Baie Ste Anne, the son of the late Eutrope and Suzanne [THEBAULT] THIBODEAU. <br /> He is survived by his wife, Lina [VAUTOUR] THIBODEAU; sons: Lucien [Astrid], Roland [Elaine], Vincent [Kim], all of Baie Ste Anne, Aurele and Leo-Paul, both of Moncton; daughters: Pamela McINTYRE, of Baie Ste Anne, Rose CHAPMAN [David], of Hardwicke, Louisianne GRIFFIN [Jim], of Moncton, Blondine WILLISTON [Bernard], of Black River Bridge, Anne-Marie DOUCET, of Point Sapin; sister: Mathilde MARTIN [Norman], of St. Louis; twenty-two grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. <br /> He is predeceased by son, Francois; and daughter, Claudette; one brother, Theotime THIBODEAU, of Montreal; step-brothers, Wilfred, Roger; step-sisters; Marguerite, Rina and Clementine. <br /> Lionel THIBODEAU rested at the Baie Ste Anne Slumber room in Baie Ste Anne on Sunday, July 25th from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 2 pm till time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, July 27th at 4 pm from St. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Fr. J. B. Mallais officiating. <br /> Active pallbearers were gGrandsons: Serge McINTYRE, Eddy DOUCET, Jacques THIBODEAU, Gilles THIBODEAU, Shawn WILLISTON and nephew, Gaston MARTIN. Honorary pallbearers were: Valerie MARTIN, Clifford THERIAULT, Alvin McINTYRE, Peter MARTIN, Alphonse DOUCET and Adrien McINTYRE. <br /> The Cross was carried by grandson, Alex. Interment was in St. Anne Cemetery. Donations to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke foundation or the St. Anne Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi.
