Pierre THERIAULT, of Baie Sainte-Anne, passed away at his former residence in Baie Sainte-Anne on February 08, 2011 at the age of 55. Pierre was the adopted son of Arthur THERIAULT and Rita [MANUEL] THERIAULT, now residing at Le Foyer lAssomption in Rogersville. Pierre was a well-known person in his community. He was a former owner of the Quoi cest ca Restaurant in Baie Sainte-Anne. One could say that Pierre was devoted to the well functioning of his community, having given countless hours on various committees in the area. He was also an active member of the Bay Du Vin Liberal Association riding. Pierre was a big sports fanatic and had a remarkable passion for hockey. <br /> He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Rita THERIAULT; a sister, Gaetane [THERIAULT] GAUDET [Oswald], of Pointe-Sapin; one niece, Joanie GAUDET [Tim], of Baie Sainte-Anne; one nephew, Jean-Denis GAUDET [Vicky], of Pointe-Sapin, and their daughter, Zoe GAUDET, also of Pointe-Sapin. <br /> Visitations were held at the St. Anne Roman Catholic church slumber room in Baie Sainte-Anne on Sunday, February 13 from 2 to 4 and evening from 7 to 9; also on Monday, February 14 at 9 oclock until the time of the funeral at 11 oclock. Funeral service was held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11 am with Fr. J. B. Mallais officiating, assisted by Fr. Robert Savoie. <br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Tara DRYSELL, Naomi THERIAULT, Eugenie MANUEL, Jeff FLANAGAN, Bill FRASER, Christian THERIAULT and Ronald MARTIN. <br /> Cross bearer, Cassidy ENGLISH; flower bearer, Brittany BRUN; urn carrier, Chris ONEILL. <br /> Members of the New Brunswick Liberal Association formed an honor guard. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation fund or to the Sainte Anne Church Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB.
