Joseph Louis THERIAULT, 89, of Baie Sainte-Anne, NB, passed away on Sunday at the Miramichi Regional Hospital after a short illness surrounded by his family. Born in Baie Sainte-Anne, NB, the son of the late Alexander N. THERIAULT and Emilia [RICHARD] THERIAULT. Louis was Secretary - Treasurer and co-founder of THERIAULT & Hachey Peat Moss Co. He also was a veteran of WW II and a member of the Conservative Party of New Brunswick, member of St. Anne Parish of Baie Sainte-Anne, NB.<br /> He is survived by his brother, Alfred [Laurette] THERIAULT, of Moncton; sister-in-law, Delima THERIAULT, of Moncton; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, great-great-nieces and -nephews. <br /> Louis is predeceased by his three sisters, Diana, Helene and Gisele; three brothers, Eloi, Isaac and Aubin.<br /> Joseph Louis THERIAULT rested at the Salon Soeur Blandine-Martin in Baie Sainte-Anne on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 2pm till time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 4pm from St. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Gilbert Levesque Celebrant, Con-Celebrant Fr. Robert Savoie. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Mathieu THERIAULT, Jody WILLISTON, Rene THERIAULT, Nicolas MANUEL, Jocelyn SAVOIE and Marius SAVOIE. Honorary pallbearers were: Gabrielle MANUEL, Kathleen VIGNEAULT, Rose-Alma THERIAULT, Dorice DURELLE, Doris MANUEL, Euginie McINTYRE, Diane MARTIN, Nicole SAVOIE-THERIAULT, Jacinthe MAZEROLLE and Adele MARTIN. <br /> Honor Guard by the management & staff of THERIAULT & Hachey Peat Moss. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3 formed a Honor Guard and held a Legion Service. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Mahers Funeral Home Miramichi, NB.
