Edmour THERIAULT died Tuesday, October 22, 1985 at Villa Providence, Shediac after a lengthy illness. Born in the Magdelan Islands 96 years ago, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Christine [BOURQUE] THERIAULT. He had been a fisherman and a fish dealer. <br /> His wife, the former Celine TURBIDE, died three years ago.<br /> He is survived by five sons: Senator Norbert THERIAULT and Lionel, both of Baie Ste. Anne, Laurent, of Fredericton, Donat, of Shippegan, and Paul, of Moncton; four daughters: Mrs. Alonzo DESPRES [Ledora], of Baie Ste. Anne, Mrs. Robert Whalen [Claudia], of Fredericton, Mrs. Leonide H. CYR [Laeitiia] and Mrs. Guy RICHARD [Germaine], both of Moncton; several grandchildren.<br /> The body rested at Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Thursday, October 24 with Rev. Alphonse Richard officiating. <br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Chief Justice Guy A. RICHARD, Leonide CYR, Alonzo DESPRES, Robert WHALEN, Ade THERIAULT, Nectaire THERIAULT, Charles DAMOUR, Lomaer ARSENEAULT, Roland THERIAULT and Rudolph THERIAULT. Active pallbearers were six grandsons: Roger, Jules, Gilles, Henri, Marc and Daniel THERIAULT.<br /> Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham. <br /> Source: Northumberland News - October 30, 1985
